Blog or Vlog?

Good morning! I've been enjoying watching peoples videoblogs. This is all new to me. There are so many creative people out there who are making amazing videos! Thanks to the few people who have read mine in it's early stage, and for your comments. I love getting feedback. I guess video blogging must be pretty new. Although it's out there, it doesn't seem to be typical yet. Actually, video sharing is the whole reason I got into this world of blogging (vlogging.. whatever it is people call it!) I was wanting a way (a free way) to share my movies, slideshows and stories with friends, family and the world. If any of you out there, especially mothers, are doing the same... send me a note or email!

Here are a couple of the most recent photos of our daughters.

With all this said, I have yet to show you video from our youngest daughter Madeline (Maddy for short). At 16 months, she weighs only a little over 17 pounds. She is healthy and thriving and staying on the absolute bottom of the charts but gaining weight steadily. I think people are amazed to see that she can walk, just because she looks so tiny. She has such a cute little personality too. I've included a short video of her getting to sleep. Most of you would think this would be a boring thing to watch, however, you don't know Maddy :) Enough said, I will just let you watch...

Music: She Bangs - by Ricky Martin

A couple of people have asked for the reason why she does this. We have NO idea really. She has done this ever since we can remember. Maybe someday she will explain it to us!

I originally made this video to be viewed on TV, so the text at the end is a little small to read once compressed. This is what it says:

"Maddy was not harmed during the making of this movie. While she may have been knocked unconscious, it was of her own accord. She fell asleep peacefully in the end and woke up fine later."

Hi,
I couldn't read hte text at the end of your video.

Do you explain why she is doing that?

What a funny video! I have a 9 month old and he resists sleeping too! Normally he will either sit up or stand up and throw his passie outside of the crib if he doesn't want to sleep. I'm glad there is a mom vlogger now!

hmm... maybe she's got some raging rock song stuck in her head, and she's just working on her head banging technique before she falls asleep. :)

Oh my goodness!! That was awesome...I am also curious as to what she does that...I love that she does it again and again and then slows down into sleep...brilliant!

Hi Erin,
You recently posted to my site and advised me to post more video. After watching your girl banging her head to sleep I find myself wondering... "Does Mia do anything remotely that funny in her crib?" I guess I'll have to find out. Thanks for inspiring me to post more video,
Tyler

ROFL.

That's hillarious.

I've sent a link to this to my brother who about to be a new daddy ... with a recommendation to buy soft bedding for the crib. :-)

I think this may have been the first video of yours that I ever saw, and it still cracks me up!

For those who don't know (and I'm sure that you know this, Erin) head banging in infants is pretty common. Apparently it's very soothing!

Maddie, Maddie, Maddie!
She's the GIRL!
Cutest name and child.
How did you ever get that video?
Turn it into the American's funniest video show. You would win hands down.
