Freeplay Music: Lesson Learned

Sorry for those of you who are getting some older videos re-posted today. I had started taking my videos down after realizing I had been wrongly using Freeplay Music. I assumed it was free, but it's not. See the discussion on the videoblogging group here. I attempted to correct the problem by taking down my videos, but it seems as though that will not fulfill my legal obligation at this point. Since I have to pay for them anyway, I put them back up until I could fix each one. Sorry for the confusion! Be warned, Freeplay Music isn't free. Make sure you are aware of their terms of use. I had to learn the hard way. Although it is my mistake and it does clearly state that music used for podcasts or blogs requires a fee, it seems ridiculous. For major motion picture studios, it is free to use, but a Mom who is just using it to make home videos of her kids on her personal blog has to pay $25/song/year. Anyway, let this be a lesson and warning to all of you who may be making the same mistake. From now on, I'll only be using podsafe music! If any of you have suggestions on where I can get good free music, let me know :) I had a few videos ready to post, but I need to re-do them now and remove all Freeplay music. Sorry for the confusion!
